Clinical Features
- Symptoms:
- Asymptomatic
- Decreased vision if involved visual axis
- Signs: single or multiple dendrite-like epithelial or subepithelial lesions
- Can be secondary to:
- Contact lens wear
- Recurrent corneal erosion from anterior basement membrane dystrophy, stromal dystrophy or previous corneal trauma including healing corneal abrasion
- Herpetic dendrite scar
- In contact lens related cases, the lesion may disappear during cessation of contact lens wear.
Management
- Observation.
- Lubrication.
- In contact lens related cases, the lesion may disappear during cessation of contact lens wear.
