Posterior Synechiae
- Clinical features:
- Adhesions between posterior iris and the anterior lens surface
- Often seen in acute anterior uveitis and chronic posterior uveitis
- May be complicated with angle closure glaucoma due to anterior bowing of the peripheral iris (iris bombè) especially when 360-degree adhesion (seclusio pupillae) occurs
- Treatment may be attempted with cycloplegic drops.
