Dermolipoma
- A common form of congenital dermoids: tumor-like lesions that are present at birth and may or may not enlarge over time
- Composed of normal elements which are not normally found at the site of development
Clinical Features
- Asymptomatic, depending on the location may induce astigmatism
- Signs:
- Unilateral
- Pink to yellow, soft, rounded mass at the lateral canthus
- Located subconjunctivally and may extend back into the orbit or anteriorly to the limbal area
Management
- Observation
- Surgical removal for cosmetic reason
