Entropion
Clinical Features
- Can be seen externally as a small orifice inferior to the medial canthus
- May be unilateral or bilateral
- May be patent (with tears or discharges pooling or draining on the surrounding skin) or blunt as a blind sac
Management
- In a blind sac fistula, no treatment is required
- In a patent fistula, surgical treatment to obliterate the fistula is necessary to prevent secondary infection
