Conjunctival Cyst

Clinical Features

• Symptoms: eye discomfort or tearing.
• Signs: fluid-filled mass within the conjunctiva
• May be caused by infolding conjunctival crypts or secondary to inflammation, trauma or surgery (especially muscle surgery).

Treatment

• Supportive with topical lubricants if necessary.
• Surgical excision.
• Sclerosing medications topically or into the cyst.
