Training and Education

Artificial intelligence is transforming medicine, and VP&S is committed to leading this evolution. Our Training & Education workgroup aims to equip the VP&S community with the skills and knowledge to navigate, innovate, and lead in this rapidly advancing field. By developing a dynamic, interdisciplinary curriculum, we are ensuring that AI education is not only accessible but also integrated into the fabric of medical training at all levels. This effort will position VP&S at the forefront of AI-integrated healthcare and education, empowering our community to harness technology for better patient outcomes and more effective healthcare delivery.

Our strategy is built around two key domains: education and training. Through a reimagined undergraduate medical education curriculum and faculty development programs, we are embedding AI fundamentals into medical learning from day one. Simultaneously, our training initiatives focus on graduate medical education and staff development, emphasizing responsible AI applications in clinical practice and operations. A consultative AI training and education service will further support faculty and staff in seamlessly integrating AI knowledge into existing learning frameworks. By fostering an adaptable, forward-thinking learning environment, we are not only preparing VP&S for the future of medicine—we are shaping it.
