Department of Medicine

The Department of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center has been committed to excellence in teaching, research, and patient care since its founding as part of King’s College (later Columbia University) in 1767. We are a diverse internal medicine department with thirteen divisions, state-of-the-art healthcare centers of excellence, and cutting-edge medical research labs.
