Elizabeth (Lizzy) Tsuang is a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) graduate from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. As a Los Angeles native, Lizzy graduated Cum Laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology and Society and a minor in Global Health and Medicine/Public Health. After college, she helped manage California-based hospitalist and intensivist programs as an Associate Business Line Manager, where she gained experience with inpatient clinical operations, process improvement, provider relations, patient satisfaction, and quality reporting and benchmarking. Lizzy then moved to NYC to earn her MHA at Columbia. As part of her graduate program, Lizzy completed an Administrative Internship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where she learned more about ambulatory operations and worked on projects based in access optimization, operational metrics, and dashboard implementation.
Lizzy is thrilled to continue her journey with Columbia this year as an Administrative Fellow. She is drawn to Columbia’s commitment to high quality, equitable, and compassionate patient care. Lizzy looks forward to applying her experiences on both the inpatient and outpatient side, learning more about how Columbia advances its tripartite mission to serve its communities, and contributing her interdisciplinary interests in media and design. When Lizzy isn’t on the Columbia campus, she can be found practicing hot yoga, running a dog sitting business, or finding the best slice in NYC.
