Glenda Garvey Internal Medicine Interest Group

Internal medicine or general medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists or physicians.

The mission of the Glenda Garvey Internal Medicine Interest Group is to promote interest in internal medicine and its subspecialties. We accomplish this goal by holding programs that encourage students to shadow or do research with Internal medicine doctors.

• Cardiology
• Critical Care Medicine
• Endocrinology
• Gastroenterology
• Geriatric Medicine
• Hematology/Oncology
• Infectious Diseases
