Family Medicine Interest Group

Family medicine, formerly family practice, is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages; the specialist is named a family physician or family doctor. The Family Medicine Interest Group provides educational and supportive programs and experiences for students interested in practicing family medicine. Our mission goals are to:

• Create a community and support network for Columbia medical students who are interested in family medicine.
• Increase awareness about and interest in family medicine throughout the medical school's community.
