Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
The People Development Center is actively seeking qualified Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to lend their talents to the expanding delivery of employee learning & development programs.
- SMEs exhibit a high level of expertise in a competency or task within a content area.
- SMEs Play an integral part in driving curriculums across the overarching core track and five proficiency tracks.
In addition to sharing crucial knowledge with others, SMEs have an opportunity to expand their professional network, advance their existing competencies, and receive added organization-wide exposure as an expert.
What We Are Looking For?
To understand the time commitment involved, who qualifies as an SME, and the benefits of sharing, please review the following:
- Advanced knowledge and deep understanding of program topic.
- Ability to clearly communicate and explain material to audience.
- Passionate about helping others, coaching, and learning.
- Ability to align culture, subject theory concepts, and daily practice.
- 5+ years of experience in the subject matter
- 10+ years of experience in the subject for senior executive audience level
- Officer-level employee
- Department Administrator approval
- Minimum of two 30-minute prep sessions to review existing learning materials.
- Attend training orientation (estimated one hour).
- Estimated 60-90 minutes of in-person teaching time per program module.
- Facilitate or help craft at least one program per quarter.
- SMEs share stories of their own experience.
- Networking opportunities with peers and leaders from various departments.
- Learning & Development Opportunities to advance competencies.
- Recognition and experience to highlight on your profiles, such as LinkedIn.
- People Development Center Swag.
- Priority registration to highly coveted People Development Center series.
