Electron Microscopy
The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at CUIMC previously ran an Electron Microscopy core facility to assist researchers in the preparation and imaging of biological samples via traditional SEM and TEM techniques. However, due to the retirement of facility staff, the facility has now been closed.
As an alternative, we recommend that researchers consider the following alternative resources:
- The Electron Microscopy facility operated by the Columbia Nano Initiative, which hosts a Transmission Electron Microscope, two Scanning Electron Microscopes and a suite of sample preparation instruments.
- The Weill Cornell Microscopy & Imaging Analysis facility, which offers sample preparation services for transmission (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), as well as training and full-service TEM imaging.
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for service alternatives, please contact the Office for Research.
