Pediatric
Our Pediatric Sleep Disorders Center is dedicated exclusively to the care of children and adolescents. The importance of adequate sleep for children and adolescent is now recognized. Sleep problems such as sleep apnea, excessive daytime sleepiness including narcolepsy and behavioral sleep problems are common and can seriously affect your child’s general health, memory, academic functioning, behavior and mood. Early diagnosis and treatment of sleep problems can a child’s improve long-term health and development. Our sleep laboratory is child-friendly and staffed with seasoned sleep technicians who are expert at obtaining information about your child’s sleep habits, in a comfortable environment, with a parent in attendance.
Once a sleep study is performed our team will review the results and design a treatment plan to improve the quality of sleep. We often use a multidisciplinary approach to address your child’s condition, working with pediatric ENT physicians, obesity experts, bariatric surgeons, developmental specialists, craniofacial surgeons, neurosurgeons, neuromuscular physicians, and gastroenterologists.
