Health Students for a Sustainable Future
Climate change is the greatest public health and medical crisis of the 21st century, and its impacts unjustly fall hardest on marginalized communities and on children. As health professionals, we need to be prepared to face this new climate reality, as climate change is a significant modifier of the global burden of disease and will place an unprecedented strain on our health system and communities. The aim and goal of HS4SF is to provide our medical students with knowledge and resources related to the intersection of climate change and healthcare to aid in students’ advocacy, curriculum reform, research, and future climate-smart health care and a community in which to exchange ideas and support one another in these goals.
