Harlem Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission CMS and by the Council of Graduate Medical Education of the American Medical Association. Our residency and fellowship training programs in the hospital are accredited by the Residency Review Committees of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME):

Harlem Hospital Center also provides clinical education opportunities through the City College of New York/Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education Physician Assistant Program located at Harlem Hospital Center and the School of Radiology Technology.
It is a sponsoring institution accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), and the Commission of Dental Accreditation is recognized by the United States Department of Education and grants accreditation to dental residency programs. The Institution provides financial, educational and human resources to fulfill the academic training of residents, fellows and students with support from the NYC Health + Hospitals and Columbia University.

Harlem Hospital has an integrated plastic surgery fellowship program with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Other accredited residency programs with rotations through Harlem Hospital Center include Emergency Medicine (Metropolitan Hospital), Obstetrics and Gynecology (Jamaica Hospital) and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Woodhull Medical and Mental Hospital).
