The Columbia University Programs in Physical Therapy is thrilled to announce details about Convocation!

Programs in Physical Therapy Convocation and Reception
The DPT Program convocation will be held at Alumni Auditorium (630-650 W. 168th St), Tuesday, May 20th promptly at 10:00 am (EDT). The ceremony typically ends at noon. Please arrive no later than 9:00 am. You will need to swipe your ID. We will assemble in the hallway next to the Auditorium (enter William Black Building, ascend the short staircase on the right after passing security.) Beginning at 9:30 am, you will be lined up in alphabetical order and given instructions on when and how to enter/exit the stage during the hooding component of the ceremony. Don't forget your gown, hood, and tam!

The reception, held in your honor, follows immediately after the ceremony at 50 Haven Ave, First Floor Lounge.
Columbia University Commencement
The Columbia University Commencement ceremony of the 271st academic year will take place on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.
Graduating students must register for e-tickets for themselves and their guests. Guest e-tickets are required for everyone over the age of three.
- Graduate students may reserve up to two (2) guest e-tickets, beginning April 16.
South Lawn seating for guests is limited, so make sure your application to graduate is submitted and you register for your tickets early. Once capacity is reached, alternative locations will be available for registration. Once capacity is reached, althernative locations will be available for registration. Eligible graduates will receive an email with the registration link from their individual school in the coming weeks.
The commencement Office is not able to provide additional tickets in advance or on Commencement Day. You may appeal if you have extenuating circumstances and require extra tickets. Please note, additional tickets are not guranteed.
Guest Information
- Every guest must present a guest e-ticket for entry at their designated location. All children over the age of three require a ticket.
- Guests of graduating students cannot directly register for tickets-graduates must do so on behalf of their guest(s).
Live Stream
For guests who are not able to attend, a live webcast of the University Commencement ceremony will be available for online viewing on the day of Commencement. School ceremony webcasts will also be available.
By participating in the University Commencement ceremony and/or your School Ceremony, all participants are giving consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded. Please note that these recordings may be shared publicly and made available online for viewing after the event.
