Care, Education, and Research for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Conditions
Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease
The Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's Disease (CEAD) is located in the Taub Institute for Alzheimer’s Disease and in the Department of Neurology. The program is led by a team of neurologists, nurses, a psychiatrist, neuro-psychologist, occupational therapist, social worker, and genetic counselor.
- CEAD is supported in part by a grant from the New York State Department of Health, and is one of a network of ten medical centers and teaching hospitals recognized by New York State as experts in the diagnosis and care of individuals living with Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementias.
- The center offers access to a number of clinical research studies seeking new and better ways to prevent, detect, diagnose, control, and treat illnesses.
- CEAD is also a source for educational resources, support, training, and assistance for community healthcare providers.
