Overview

Dr. Fan Liu is an assistant professor of radiation oncology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and a board-certified therapeutic medical physicist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Electric Technology and his Master of Science in Aerial Electric Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xi’an, China. He then obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.

Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Liu conducted postdoctoral research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he completed a CAMPEP-accredited medical physics residency program. Before joining Columbia University Irving Medical Center, he worked as a medical physicist at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center.
