Events and Initiatives

We are committed to the well-being and success of all community members. Columbia complies with all applicable civil rights laws and does not engage in illegal preferences or discrimination.

With the establishment of KADFA, a variety of events and initiatives were created to support the mission of the alliance by fostering and encouraging a greater sense of community and camaraderie across the medical center. Such activities take shape in the form of:

• recruiting and retaining a community of medical students, graduate students, and house staff;
• developing networking and social events that enhance career and leadership advancement;
• promoting community service initiatives;
• fostering and strengthening cooperative and mentoring relationships among students, trainees, and faculty members that support healthy well-being at all levels of the pipeline; and
• highlighting the contributions of students, staff, faculty, and research scientists.
