Kendall Lynch, PT, DPT, OCS, PMA-CPT
Bio:
Dr. Lynch was the inaugural fellow for the newly accredited CUIMC/WSDPT Performing Arts Fellowship.
She completed her fellowship training in July 2022. Marika Molnar served as her clinical mentor at West Side Dance Physical Therapy (WSDPT).
Dr. Laurel Daniels Abbruzzese served as her mentor for teaching and research activities at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC).
Dr. Lynch is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist with a specialty focus on pelvic health. Her career in physical therapy began as a dancer, with her love for dance, and a curiosity for movement. Early in her physical therapy career she was able to collaborate with the Department of Dance at the University of South Florida on physical health and wellness programming. In 2012 she had the privilege of working backstage for the “So You Think You Can Dance” tour. Over the years, Dr. Lynch has pursued professional development opportunities to become a Certified Pilates Instructor, a Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist, and a Certified Health Coach. Upon completion of the fellowship program, Dr. Lynch was hired as a physical therapist for WSDPT. In addition to clinic hours, she provides on-site coverage to dancers at New York City Ballet and the School of American Ballet.

Clinical background: Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and certified Pilates instructor. Extensive training in pelvic floor rehabilitation, especially in the post-partum population.
Research Interest: Pain Science, Hormonal Implications on Functional Capabilities.
Why you chose this Fellowship program: This program stands out because of the Westside Dance Physical Therapy's direct relationship with the New York City Ballet and School of American Ballet. It allows the unique ability to follow one ballet company through rehearsal and performance periods. In addition, Columbia University has a renowned physical therapy program and I wanted to continue my education from leaders in the field.
