Congratulations to Asha Panduranga for being selected as Employee of the Month for October 2024! Every month, we honor an employee who consistently demonstrates excellence and contributes significantly to our collective success. Their strong work ethic and dedication deserve special recognition, and we strive to highlight their outstanding performance. This includes qualities such as teamwork, leadership, innovation, and commitment. This month, we are excited to recognize Ms. Panduranga.

Asha is a Finance Coordinator in the Department of Ophthalmology. She has been a key member of our department for over a year and has been part of Columbia University for twelve years. Originally born in Germany, Asha grew up in Southern California, where she enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Asha is known for her incredible multitasking abilities, her calmness under pressure, and her eagerness to both learn and teach others. She is resourceful and always willing to assist wherever needed.

She is a skilled communicator, problem-solver, and team player who adds immense value to our department. A fun fact about Asha is that she appeared as an extra in the movie Seabiscuit.
