Congratulations to RN Suzanne Daly for being selected as the Employee of the Month for July 2024. Each month, we honor an employee who consistently demonstrates excellence and significantly contributes to our collective success. Suzanne's superb work ethic and dedication deserve special recognition, and we are proud to showcase her stellar performance. This recognition is inclusive of her qualities such as teamwork, leadership, innovation, and dedication.

Suzanne, a Registered Nurse since 1982, began her career on an Ophthalmology floor before transitioning to the Burn Unit at Cornell. Her expertise expanded to include working in various outpatient services, and she became a Certified Diagnostic Ophthalmic Sonographer (CDOS) in 1989. Suzanne's impressive credentials also include certification as a Certified Registered Nurse in Ophthalmology (CRNO).

Initially joining the department part-time in November 2013, Suzanne became a full-time member of our team in August 2022. Despite starting during Superstorm Sandy, which caused delays, Suzanne has consistently shown dedication and professionalism.

Beyond her professional achievements, Suzanne has a passion for travel and meeting new people. She has maintained a pen pal friendship with a dear friend from Rome since she was 12 years old and spent a memorable summer together in Italy at age 15. During college, Suzanne showcased her diverse talents by singing in a band and playing rugby with the Cornell Medical School women’s team. A dedicated sports fan, Suzanne cheers for the Mets, Rangers, Giants, and the Jets. She is also currently learning how to play golf and is a voracious reader with an insatiable curiosity for health, languages, and various subjects.

Suzanne’s extensive experience and vibrant personality make her an invaluable asset to our team. Once again, we congratulate her for all her contributions to the success of our department.
