Congratulations to Marilyn Garcia for being selected as the Employee of the Month for April 2024. Every month, we honor an employee who has consistently demonstrated excellence, contributing significantly to our collective success. Their superb work ethic and dedication deserve special recognition, and we endeavor to showcase their stellar performance. This includes qualities such as teamwork, leadership, innovation, and dedication.

This month, we highlight Marilyn Garcia! Marilyn, a first-generation Dominican American, brings her dedication to education and empowerment to her role as a Medical Technician. She has been with the Department of Ophthalmology for over a year and has certainly left an indelible mark on all of her colleagues and the patients she has encountered. She is currently pursuing her OCT certification to further enhance her professional abilities and add value to our Department. This showcases her drive for professional growth and constant development. Although her original studies were in forensic science, Marilyn's passion for exceptional patient care shines through in her commitment to exceeding expectations. Outside of work, she finds solace in nature through hiking and enjoys the company of her three adorable puppies, adding joy to her life as a proud dog mom. Once again, we congratulate her for all her noted contributions to the Department.
