CCTI PI Dr. Jianing Fu's Editorial in latest Frontiers in Immunology

Dr. Fu and co-authors have published an editorial on the research topic of “Immunogenomics of Solid Organ and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation” in Frontiers in Immunology. As an emerging field in Transplantation, immunogenomics describes molecular features and repertoire changes in immune cells using functional genomics technologies. Given the advancement of next-generation sequencing, including single cell sequencing technology in recent years, we are now equipped with the ability to “fingerprint” individual T and B cells to determine not only the specific immune receptor sequences that mediate their response to foreign substances but also their functional gene expression profiles. This Research Topic of articles, includes four novel Original Research articles and three comprehensive Review articles, provides an in-depth review of current understanding of alloreactive responses after transplantation in preclinical and clinical settings from the immunogenomics perspective and encourages future investigations in this field.
