Endourology Fellowship

Directed by Ojas Shah, MD, professor of urology at CUIMC, the Endourology Fellowship is a one-year fellowship specifically targeting the advanced treatment of stone disease. The fellowship will focus on state of the art training in ureteroscopy, shockwave lithotripsy, percutaneous renal surgery, and metabolic stone disease/stone prevention. Other topics to be addressed include the management of stone and surgery related complications, upper tract urothelial carcinoma, and ureteral strictures/obstruction. Clinical research will be incorporated into the training year with the expectation of numerous research projects collaborating with the Columbia Urology residents in addition to review articles, book chapters and multi-institutional collaborations. The fellow will also be involved in didactic teaching sessions within the training program and Journal Club.

The fellowship program will run from August 1 to July 31 each academic year.

Evaluation of fellow will be conducted bi-annually to ensure meeting requirements set forth by the programs goals and objectives.
