Faculty Recruitment
The Department of Neuroscience at Columbia University regularly recruits faculty in the neurosciences. Areas of interest include research programs that: 1) employ genetic, genomic and evolutionary approaches to understand the neural basis of behavior; 2) exploit or develop state-of-the-art optical, chemical, electrical or computational methodology to link neural circuitry to behavior, especially in genetically-tractable mammalian model systems; 3) combine computational, behavioral and physiological approaches to study cognitive processes; and 4) explore emerging issues in molecular, cellular, and developmental neurosciences.
Columbia University has an exceptionally strong and broad program in the neurosciences with an aim to enhance interactions between basic and clinical research, and to link the neurosciences with a wide range of other disciplines within the University. Faculty are affiliated with the Department of Neuroscience and the Doctoral Program in Neurobiology and Behavior. Research labs will be housed in the Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute on the Columbia Manhattanville campus. There are numerous opportunities for interaction with other scientific departments and programs at the Medical Center and Morningside Heights campuses.
The current recruitment period is closed. Please check back for future openings in the fall.
