Thomas and Ronna Klein Summer Scholarship
The Thomas and Ronna Klein Summer Scholar Research Opportunity has been made possible by a generous gift from Dr. Thomas and Mrs. Ronna Klein, who made a donation to the laboratory of Dr. Megan Sykes, Columbia Center for Translational Immunology to provide a gateway opportunity into the field of translational immunology research. This scholarship is intended to provide motivated economically or educationally under-resourced students with exposure to biomedical research and an opportunity for longer-term mentorship toward a career in this area.
The Thomas and Ronna Klein Summer Research Scholar Award provides an opportunity for one high school (18+ years old), undergraduate or post-bachelor degree student to spend the summer performing research in the Sykes lab of the Columbia Center for Translational Immunology at Columbia University. The student will receive paid training, access to educational meetings and seminars and will directly participate in funded translational immunology research projects at Columbia University. It is our hope that the training will inspire a long-term, continuous relationship as the student grows into their career.
Application Requirements
